Since air is a non-condensable gas, when it enters the refrigeration system of an air-cooled chiller, it can cause the following six major effects:
1. The condensing pressure rises. After the air enters the condenser, it occupies a certain volume and has a certain partial pressure. As more air accumulates, the higher the partial pressure, the higher the pressure in the condenser.
2, reduce the condenser heat transfer efficiency. The air accumulates in a certain area in the condenser so that the inner surface of the area is surrounded by air, and the heat cannot be effectively dissipated, so that the condensing temperature is increased.
3, corrosion of pipelines and equipment. The entry of air causes the water content in the air-cooled chiller system to increase, causing corrosion of the pipeline.
4, cooling efficiency. As the condensing pressure increases, the compressor's gas delivery volume decreases, the motor's operating flow increases, the power consumption increases, and the cooling efficiency decreases.
5. The compressor discharge temperature increases. When the temperature approaches or exceeds the flash point of the lubricant, the lubricant can easily decompose and cause an accident.
6. When the moisture entering the system reaches a certain amount with the air, the “ice blocking” accident is easy to occur, making the refrigeration system cycle poorly or even interrupted.

Air into the refrigeration system, whether large refrigeration systems, or small refrigeration equipment, will have adverse consequences.
