Always begin troubleshooting your Kyocera copier with some basics. Make sure correctly sized paper is in the paper trays. Make sure the copier has a fresh batch of staples as well. You can replace staples by opening the stapler cover, removing the stapler holder and inserting a new staple cartridge.

Make sure the copier is plugged into a working outlet. Try plugging the copier into a different outlet to verify whether the problem is with the copier or the outlet. Finally, make sure the copier is actually turned on and warmed up.

To prevent this from happening, seal any paper you open by placing the remaining paper in a plastic locking bag. Try to open and load the entire ream of paper only when the copier is almost empty. Also, keep all paper out of the light---light will cause the paper to yellow.
