The Federal Institute of Nutrition and Food issued a communiqué on the 6th that the researchers of the institute took Aspergillus ochrae as the research object and envisaged to change its biological clock through light, thereby inhibiting its growth and reproduction.

Through experiments, the researchers confirmed that blue light with a wavelength of 450 nanometers has a significant inhibitory effect on the growth and reproduction of Aspergillus ochrae and can kill 80% of its spores. In addition, they also found that yellow and green light can promote mold growth.
