Here is a detailed guide for installing and operating your small spray dryer. This machine is ideal for small-scale production, offering efficient drying with minimal maintenance. Make sure to follow the instructions carefully to ensure safe and effective operation.

Installation Instructions

  1. Install the Drying Chamber: Hold the drying chamber with both hands and insert it into the fixing clamp. Secure it by tightening the lock nut. You can rotate the chamber within the clamp as needed.
  2. Install the Cyclone Separator: Place the cyclone lock nut, sealing ring, and stainless steel gasket onto the air outlet pipe of the cyclone separator. Insert it into the equipment’s air outlet and align the ports so they are straight. Connect them using a clamp and secure the cyclone lock nut.
  3. Connect the Collection Bottle: Use a clamp to attach the collection bottle to the cyclone.
  4. Connect the Collection Tube: Attach the collection tube to the drying chamber using a clamp.
  5. Attach the Spray Chamber: Mount the spray chamber to the unit and connect the 4mm air tube (for the needle) and the 6mm tube (for spraying).
  6. Install the Peristaltic Pump Tubing: Fit the food-grade silicone tubing onto the peristaltic pump and insert it into the spray chamber inlet.

Operation Instructions

To start the peristaltic pump, click “Open,” then “Start.” To stop, click “Stop.” For automatic control, press the “Auto” button (blue zone below). The pump will adjust its speed based on the set outlet air temperature, ensuring consistent feed rate. Click again to switch back to manual mode, where “Automatic” will be displayed.

Fan Control: Click the fan button (above) to start or stop the fan. The button will move to “Start” or “Stop” accordingly.

Needle Control: Press the black button (above) to activate the needle, which will change to “Start.” Click again to stop it. Adjust the needle speed through the interface by changing the set value.

Air Compressor Control: Click the black area of the air compressor button to start or stop it.

Heater Control: Press the heater button (black area above) to turn it on or off. Note that the heater cannot start until the fan is running. Once the fan is turned off, the heater will automatically disconnect.

Fan Setting: Adjust the fan speed by pressing the value box to bring up the numeric keypad. Clear the number using the CLR button, enter the desired frequency, and press ENTER to confirm.

Peristaltic Pump Manual Operation: Click the black button (above) to start the pump, which will display “ON.” Click again to stop it, displaying “OFF.”

Needle Frequency Setting: Adjust the needle’s run time by entering the desired value in seconds via the value box. Clear the number, input the new value, and press ENTER.

Peristaltic Pump Feed Rate: Set the feed rate (r/m) using the value box. Enter the desired number and press ENTER to update the setting.

Inlet Air Temperature Adjustment: Access the main menu to adjust the inlet air temperature. Ensure the difference between the set value and the actual display is at least 50°C before starting self-adjustment. For example, if the set value is 120°C and the display shows 70°C, you can initiate the self-adjustment. Click the black button (above) to start, and it will automatically complete. If you need to stop early, use the “Inlet Air Temperature Self-Adjustment End” button.

Outlet Air Temperature Adjustment: Similar to the inlet, make sure there is a 50°C difference between the set value and the display. Adjust using the value box and press ENTER to confirm. If needed, interrupt the process using the “Wind Temperature Self-Adjustment End” button.
