3. Adjust the speed control knob to set the desired rate of loading. For faster movement, increase the speed, but always follow the recommended loading speed for the specific test.
4. Once the specimen breaks, open the oil return valve slowly to lower the piston. Ensure that the pointer on the load indicator stops at the maximum load value, which represents the failure load of the specimen. Record this reading.
5. Clean up any debris from the test area and prepare for the next test. After completing the test, press the stop button to turn off the motor and disconnect the power supply.
**Safety and Maintenance Precautions:**
1. The testing machine should be installed in a clean, dry, and temperature-controlled environment. Avoid areas with vibrations, corrosive gases, or strong magnetic fields.
2. Ensure the machine is placed on a stable, level surface. The foundation should be at least 50 cm above ground level, with two anchor bolts embedded for stability.
3. Regularly clean the machine and inspect its components. Any metal parts without protective coatings should be lubricated frequently to prevent rust and corrosion.
4. The piston should not rise more than 80 mm during operation. A limit switch should be installed in the control box. When the piston reaches the limit, the motor will automatically stop. To lower the piston, loosen the oil return valve gradually.
**Maintenance:**
The hydraulic oil should be changed after six months of use. Always use clean, high-quality oil to maintain optimal performance and prolong the life of the machine.
