In recent news, the Shaanxi Provincial Quality Supervision Bureau released the results of a quality inspection on children's furniture products. Among the findings, the Columbini brand's bedside table model CV7743N was identified as non-compliant due to structural safety issues. The report revealed that this specific product remained available for sale in Beijing stores even after the inspection results were made public on November 13.
**Columbini Safety Concerns**
A quality supervision and inspection conducted by the Shaanxi Provincial Quality Supervision Bureau involved 17 companies and 18 batches of samples. After testing, 15 batches were found to be compliant, resulting in an overall pass rate of 83.3%. However, one of theä¸åˆæ ¼ (non-compliant) items was the CV7743N bedside table from Columbini Furniture (China) Co., Ltd. This product failed the safety structure test, particularly concerning its edges and corners, and was listed on the black list.
The inspection evaluated various aspects of children's furniture, including appearance, physical and chemical properties, structural design, mechanical stability, strength, formaldehyde emissions, and warning labels. It was found that three batches of products did not meet the required standards, with both formaldehyde emissions and structural safety being key areas of concern.

**Non-Compliant Products Still Available for Sale**
On November 11, a reporter visited a Columbini store located near the West Fourth Ring Road and discovered that the CV7743N bedside table, which had been flagged as unsafe, was still on display. The product was even recommended by the store’s shopping guide. As the store was newly opened, most furniture lacked price tags, making it difficult for the reporter to identify the model number. Eventually, the CV7743N specification was found in the guide.
The shopping guide pointed out a small blue bedside table, which the reporter confirmed was the same model. Upon closer inspection, the bedside table featured a two-tier design, with the upper section rounded and the lower drawer having sharp corners. Additionally, the table had wheels that allowed children to easily insert their hands and feet, posing a risk of injury.
Later, the reporter visited another Columbini store at the West Third Ring. Although no sample of the CV7743N model was on display, the store confirmed that the product was still available for sale.
