3. Instruments

(1) Ink viscosity meter: MODEL RGV-3 type (Japan).

4. Inspection conditions

The inspection shall be carried out at a temperature of (25 ± 1) ° C and a relative humidity of 65% ± 5%.

5. Inspection steps

(1) Turn on the power of the instrument, adjust the water temperature of the thermostat to 32 ° C, and maintain the constant temperature.

(2) Put the gear shift lever of the instrument at a low speed position, and press the synthetic rubber roller and ink leveling rubber roller against the metal roller.

(3) Start the instrument and set the cursor to the "0" position after running for 15 minutes. Adjust the instrument so that the scale is in balance.

(4) After pouring the adjusted sample ink into the metal ink absorber, squeeze the sample ink from the metal and the ink tank and apply it evenly on the synthetic rubber roller. Turn the motor by hand to make the ink evenly spread on the metal roller and ink roller.

(5) Start the instrument and distribute ink. Remove the brake at 30s, move the cursor to balance the scale, and read the viscous data at 1min.

(6) If you need to measure the viscosity value of the instrument at medium speed and high speed, move the instrument shift lever to the middle or high speed position. The inspection procedure is the same as the low speed.

6. Inspection results

When the scale is balanced, the number indicated by the cursor is the viscosity value.
