1 Introduction
The Aoah swelling test is an important method to directly determine the cohesiveness of bituminous coal without adding any inerts. In distinguishing medium and above cohesive coals, especially strong cohesive coals, it has advantages that are unmatched by other indicators. It can reflect not only the amount of colloid, but also the quality of colloid. Therefore, it is an important method for studying coal quality, guiding coal development, processing and utilization, and is also an important indicator for coal classification at home and abroad.
2. Experimental principle
The experimental coal sample is made into a certain size of coal pen according to the prescribed method, placed in the expansion tube, and the expansion rod is placed on it; then the expansion tube with the coal pen is placed in the special electric furnace, and heated at a heating rate of .3C / min . When the coal reaches a certain temperature after heating, it begins to pyrolyze. First, a part of volatiles is precipitated, and then the colloids are softened and precipitated. As the colloids are continuously precipitated, the coal pen begins to deform and shorten, and the expansion rods fall-marking the shrinking process of coal . When the coal pen is completely melted into a plastic state and fills all the gaps between the coal pen and the wall of the expansion tube, the expansion rod no longer drops and the shrinking process ends. Then as the temperature rises, the plastic body starts to expand, and pushes the expansion rod to rise. When the temperature reaches the solidification point, the plastic body solidifies into a semi-coke expansion rod and stops moving. The maximum distance of the expansion rod as a percentage of the original length of the coal pen is used as coal. The degree of expansion; take the maximum distance of the expansion rod as a percentage of the original length of the coal pen as the maximum degree of contraction.
